The Gift of Photography

I found Jared Polin really by accident, I was doing camera research and found one of his long form walk-through videos, which was very helpful. After watching 2 of those and buying a different camera entirely I still consume his content. One of his philosophies is “giving the gift of photography” which I have found can be really powerful.
Most of these have been photos I have made with separate intention and for upcoming projects, but it also fits with my goal of not just creating for the internet, and making photographs for print. While things being on the internet “forever”, what happens when sites stop being supported, a hard drive dies, or people just move on? ALOT of great art is lost. Gifting a print, at least for one person, saves that moment from being lost to time as harshly.
