Out of The Train Window.

Looking out of the window is one of my favorite things to do when I go anywhere. and I mean anywhere. On the plane, in a car (when I’m not focused on driving), on a bus, and especially on a train. Seeing a place from the window is not the same as getting to experience it first hand, but for me I have found it to be a balance of seeing places I would not normally see, or views that you can only get from the window.

Speeding by on a train does leave me with a sense of wonder at the scenes that speed by, and I can imagine for some of the places the wonder is more spectacular than the location. The mysteries out the window will generally remain unsolved and that is ok with me. These photos are from September 2025 going from Nara to Kyoto in Japan.
