Art Becomes Art..

Just over a year ago while in South Korea, a took a long walk around Busan. If you didn’t know, Busan is Korea’s second most populous city and it’s biggest port and to me feels very different than Seoul. I’d say a little calmer, even in areas full of people. To be fair I have not explored it nearly as much as I have Seoul (there was a time the furthest south I had been was Anyang). This particular day it was not oppressively cold when i found this group just hanging out.

Gut Music reached out, having made previous album art for them, to make the art for their next release. I remembered this frame as it would fit their aesthetic and could be altered to what they were looking for. It just so happened that the release of January 16th, 2026 was essentially a year after this had been made, it was fitting as well.

Both choices with this photo, while different, fit my vision, but for different reasons and it is important to remember that
