Alone in Monochrome

Finding people alone in public is always gives me a surreal feeling. This most likely stems from the fact that they aren’t really alone, since as you probably already have guessed I am there behind the camera, making the single other person stand out that much more. It maybe the sudden awareness that I am not alone, or musing on who else can see me if i am isolated that make interested and focused on making a picture. Sometimes, it makes sense why they are alone, looking out of the window at their home, or heading back after a late night run to the store. Other times the isolation in otherwise busy areas, like in a busy subway station or off by yourself at the country’s largest knife show. Just because they are alone, I do not presume they are lonely, as no matter how much we like and need other people we all also can make good use of some alone time.
Not specific to this project, but all upcoming and previously posted, I make photos with the intention to print them and have them observed that way. If you have read this far than I will assume that is something you are interested in, so I would encourage you to follow me on social media and check back on the website often as I will keep everyone updated on when that will be available.
till next time.
