The Last One

On a trip I make a lot of photos. Hundreds, if not thousands. When I go out, I never think “hey this is the last photowalk.” Much like the rest of life, like the last time you played outside as a kid, or the last time you hang out with a friend, the last time can creep up on you. Here are those last frames from my last 5 trips. 1 in Bucharest, 2 in Seoul and 2 in Osaka. They aren’t what I would necessary pick as my best or favorites, but they are important, a last look into the time and place they were made. I hope to one day, after times has passed, go see how things have changed from these pictures, or what has stayed the same.

The Burger Factory in Bucharest, Romania October 2021 Was a place i wondered by a few times during my stay, and it stood out because of the loud music you could hear from across the street and the Americanish flags in the branding of the restaurant. It is always fun for me to see things in other countries using USAesuqe branding.

A Fruit Stand in Myeong-Dong, Seoul, South Korea October 2022 Near a bus stop was what at first I though was a news stand more typical of the area, but was actually a smoothie/fruit stand. they appear to be seasonal, but I have no confirmed this.

Konohana Bridge in Osaka, Japan October 2023 A different view of Osaka than what most pictures of the area were at the time. I did make pictures of Osaka Castle and the Glico man, but spending some time in a park next to the bay nice, i went there a few times.

KTX in South Korea January 2025 I don’t recall if this was right after I had boarded or right before I disembarked, so it was either taken in Busan or Seoul. It is representative of the KTX trains I had taken in Korea. the trips went very smoothly, unlike the movie “Train to Busan”.

Music Live & Bar Garth, Dontonburi, Osaka, Japan September 2025 I had made a choice to stay in Hirakata this trip, but one of the places I had promised myself to visit again was Garth. This visit I was lucky enough to catch a sound check of one of the acts performing that night. after they had finished the singer had changed into what was one of the most colorful suits I have ever seen.
